NZ Lawyer<\/em> describe the 5-Star Employers of Choice as \u201cfirms that have altered their ways of working to accommodate employees\u2019 interests outside of work. Even more impressively, these firms are willing to let people go to fulfil other ambitions, and are keeping the door open to hopefully welcome them back down the line.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of the employee-focused initiatives at James & Wells include building on the flexible working policy with the continuation of the progressive programme, FLEX. Designed to give all employees the ability to work flexibly, FLEX offers seven options to help staff manage their work-life balance.<\/p>\n

On 31 May, NZ Lawyer<\/em> announced the start of the nomination period for the 5-Star Employers of Choice 2022 list, which for the second year, puts the spotlight on law firms that have introduced the most effective employee-centred programs.<\/p>\n

The research team identified a number of key factors in a positive employee experience, namely: remuneration, training and professional development, career progression, diversity and inclusion, access to technology and resources, communication, leadership, work-life balance, health and wellbeing, reward and recognition, and recruitment.
