Business Development and Client Services Manager

There has never been a more exciting time to lead business development at James & Wells. With our recent expansion into Australia and a quality international client base, we are looking for someone with experience in a professional services environment to create and drive strategies and initiatives that will help us lead the way in intellectual property in Australasia.

This role reports to the Business Development Partner and supervises the Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Develop and implement local and international strategies to grow market share
  • Recommend and manage the Client Service and BD budget in line with strategies
  • Work with Partners and teams to identify, generate and manage new leads and opportunities
  • Proactively attract RFP’s from prospective clients and create and manage winning RFP proposals
  • Ensure the client experience is professional and enjoyable
  • Manage international travel plans (when borders are open)
  • Build and maintain a professional and consistent brand image
  • Oversee the implementation of marketing strategies, including brand, website, social media, articles, media, events, sponsorships, brand and seminars

About You

You will have a passion for marketing, business development and client service, along with a well- developed strategic and business acumen. Strong leadership and a proactive approach are strengths, as well as an ability to quickly understand business environments and challenges.  You will be a positive contributor to the firm’s culture and support the firm’s internal branding and communications.  Communication will also be a strength, both written, oral, and interpersonal skills – presentations and networking events are no bother to you!
