James & Wells is delighted to announce the appointment of Greg Munt as a Consultant, further enhancing its intellectual property team with deep expertise and extensive industry knowledge.

Greg brings with him 45 years of experience in intellectual property and some great clients, having served as a partner and principal at Griffith Hack in Melbourne. He holds a Bachelor of Materials Engineering and is a Registered Patent Attorney in both Australia and New Zealand, as well as a Registered Trade Mark Attorney in Australia. Greg is a Fellow of The Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia (IPTA) and an active member of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand (IPSANZ). Early in his career, Greg worked as an in-house patent attorney for a large global mining company, providing him with valuable insight into the complex IP needs of corporate clients.

At James & Wells, Greg will focus on assisting local clients with patent protection and the commercialisation of intellectual property on a global scale. He also has extensive experience supporting foreign clients in navigating the Australian Patent Office proceedings, ensuring their applications and IP rights are effectively managed under Australian law. Greg’s addition to the team strengthens our firm’s ability to deliver tailored IP strategies that support client innovation worldwide.

“Greg’s expertise and leadership in intellectual property are a perfect fit with our firm’s dedication to excellence in IP and supporting clients in protecting and leveraging their ideas,” said Adam Luxton, Partner at James & Wells. “We are excited to welcome Greg to the team and look forward to the valuable insights and contributions he will bring.”
