Kanako graduated with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) from the University of Auckland, focusing on design, manufacturing processes and technology integration. She has experience working as a consulting engineer in the energy and building services sectors, working closely with clients to solve complex challenges. In 2025, she joined James & Wells as a trainee patent attorney, combining her passion for engineering and law. Her engineering experience enables her to analyse technologies and support clients in protecting their intellectual property.
